Hi everybody......

Have you arrived finally? I hope you have:) And thank you for everything. It's a pitty that you have spent only a few days with us! I would have been happier if the number of the days you spent here had been more..... Anyway what was the kids' reaction? Positives / negatives!

And of course I hope that connections will NOT fail!!!! this blog is a great opportunity to keep in touch (Forever:)....)

Hi All

It is Amy. Sorry for not having been in touch for a while, I have been really ill with a throat and ear infection and had lost my voice for nearly a week. Thank goodness it is returning now but still rather croaky!

Just to let you know that we have had our parent meeting, where we told the parents about the trip and our flight details are as follows:

Arrival to Budapest
Departure: Monday 16th March
Heathrow to Budapest
Flight No: BA0866
Terminal: 5 Heathrow
Departure time: 13:45
Arrival time: 17:15

Departure from Budapest
Return: Thursday 19th March
Budapest to Heathrow
Flight No: BA0869
Terminal: 5 Heathrow
Departure time: 12.45
Arrival time to Heathrow: 14.30.

Do we know when we will hear who our students will be hosted with and I assume that we are hoping that boys will be hosted with boys and girls with girls. We also have one student Tom Feehely who has a breathing problem and is unable to stay with a family who smoke, is this possible to organise please Hungary?

We look forward to seeing you all soon and hearing about the arrnagements for our time in Budapest and the host families. Good luck to those in Hungary with the organisation I know it is a massive job, but one I am sure you will do excellently!

Keep smiling

Amy and Renaldo x

Hello everyone !

Glad you had a good time, Renaldo. How come you are spending time in a bookstore in the USA ?
Aren´t there any in GB ?

Well, we just had to postpone one of our meetings with the kids as they prefered spending their time celebrating Karneval instead of writing their scenes. It is getting close, though.
Two of our kids have resigned, Andrea and Alina. Please let your students know if they try to exchange emails with them.
We still wonder who reads this. We would appreciate some more entries by those who have not written yet. Every language is welcome.
Adrienne, schreibst du mal etwas auf deutsch ? Oder Katrin ? Oder mal was auf französisch ?

Wir freuen uns auf Budapest !

Back from the US

We had a fantastic trip and are now back in the UK.  The US was fantastic and for me it was great being back home.  Spend a lot of time walking and seeing the sites.  The fantastic thing was that we had a hotel across the street from Madison Square Garden which had a wonderful Borders book store next door.
If you want to read about the various adventures we got up to, then I blogged the whole trip at http://rllearning1.blogspot.com

Hi there!

What's up with you all? I hope all of you had a nice weekend! What's the weather like there? Here in Hungary it is a bit chilly...... Good for sitting and lazing at home all day......

I sent all of you the calendar sketches. Please write me your ideas if you like to have something more formal / elegant, informative, bla-bla-bla!

Have your students already exchanged any info with ours yet? I heard some of them have.

Have a nice afternoon!

Hello from Germany !
Thank you for contributing to the blog, Balázs ! I have no idea who reads it, but I hope everyone will join gradually.
We wish you a great trip to New York, Amy and Renaldo. Is there the chance you could buy the DVD of Twilight for me there ? (If it is the same system as in Europe.) This film has just been released in the cinema here in Germany and all over Europe and we will have to wait ages for the DVD. By the way, we then could let all our students watch it in Budapest. All the girls of my form have seen it, and I know it is a must-see-movie all over the world for teenagers. Why not let them share the experience of watching the original ?
Have a great time, travellors, and keep smiling when really working to the rest of us !
